- 2 (14.1 ounce) packages refrigerated pie crusts
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar (optional)
- Cream cheese frosting (optional)
- Chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 2. In a medium bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
- 3. Gradually add cinnamon, mixing until evenly distributed.
- 4. Unroll one pie crust onto a lightly floured surface and roll slightly to thin.
- 5. Spread half of the cinnamon filling evenly over the crust, leaving a small border.
- 6. Tightly roll the crust into a log and slice into 1-inch thick rolls.
- 7. Arrange rolls in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- 8. Repeat steps 4-7 with the second pie crust and remaining filling.
- 9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- 10. Let cool slightly before adding desired toppings.
