Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 10.75 oz can condensed cream of tomato soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz angel hair pasta uncooked

Instructions

  • Place chicken, crushed tomatoes, cream of tomato soup, chicken broth, onion, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper in your slow cooker. Stir well to combine.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through.
  • About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the uncooked angel hair pasta. Make sure the pasta is submerged in the sauce.
  • Cover and continue cooking until the pasta is tender, about 20-30 minutes more. Stir gently to separate the pasta strands.
  • Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Serve hot.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use cream of mushroom soup instead of cream of tomato. Add vegetables like bell peppers, zucchini, or spinach during the last hour of cooking. Fresh herbs like parsley or chives can be added before serving. Adjust sauce thickness with chicken broth.
